STEVE SPEAKS OUT

HI SCARY,

I KNOW YOU WRITE WITH CAPS ON, SO I SEND THIS WITH MINE ON.

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR YOUR PRESENTATION AT BRAINTREE COLLEGE ON THE EVENING OF THE 21ST APRIL. TO PUT YOU IN THE PICTURE I AM THE FATHER OF CAMERON (I FEEL SURE YOU REMEMBER HIM ) AND CONNOR AND HUSBAND OF KAY.

IF EVERYONE PRESENT COULD TAKE EVEN THE SMALLEST AMOUNT YOU GIVE I AGREE THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE.

I WRITE THIS ALSO FOR MY OWN SATISFACTION AND INTEREST. YOU DID NOT KNOW, BUT I AM A SERVING POLICE OFFICER WHO 20 YEARS AGO TRAINED AT THE CWMBRAN POLICE COLLEGE WHICH WAS SHOWN ON YOUR VIDEO. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EMPOWERED WITH THE ABILITY OF PSYCHIC AND SPIRITUAL WORLD WHICH WAS ONE REASON WHY YOUR LIFE AND HAPPENINGS HAVE GIVEN ME SUCH AN INTERESTING INSIGHT.

I PERSONALLY, AM AT A PATH IN MY LIFE WHERE I FEEL INSIDE OF ME, CHANGES ARE HAPPENING. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THIS YEAR I REACH 43 YEARS OF AGE ! AN AGE WHICH HAS A GREAT SIGNIFICANCE TO YOU.

I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THESE ABILITIES AND I AM SLOWLY COMING TO TERMS WITH IT. UNLIKE YOURSELF, I DON’T SEE ME TRAVELLING THE WORLD BUT I AM SURE I CAN HELP IN SO MANY WAYS. AT THE MOMENT I AM CONCENTRATING IN THE HEALING OF ANIMALS AND WITH IT HAVE HAD AMAZING SUCCESS. AT TIMES LAST NIGHT DURING YOUR PRESENTATION YOU PICKED UP ON MY ENERGIES I AM SURE. YOU WOULD MAKE ONE HELL OF A SUBJECT

CAMERON SHOWED TO ME WHAT LAST NIGHT WHAT I BELIEVED IN. I BELIEVE THAT ALL OF US AROUND THE WORLD ARE IN FACT POISONED THROUGH THE YEARS. THE MIND OF AN 8 YEAR OLD, SO CLEARLY UNAFFECTED WITH MUCH OF THE RUBBISH SPOUTED AT US AS WE GROW UP, IS A STARTLING REMINDER OF THE GOOD ON THIS EARTH.

WHETHER MY CAREER AS A POLICE OFFICER IS OVER REMAINS TO BE SEEN. I MAY FIND OUT TOMORROW AND COULD TAKE ANY DECISION OUT OF MY HANDS ANYWAY. AS YOU SAY MY OWN MIND NEEDS TO TAKE CONTROL AND THERE IS MORE TO THIS LIFE THAN MATERIALISTIC POSSESSIONS TO BRING HAPPINESS. I DO HAVE OTHER PEOPLE TO CONSIDER HOWEVER AND THAT IS MY BOYS AND MY WIFE.

AGAIN THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME,NOT ONLY FOR LAST NIGHT BUT ON READING THIS EMAIL. I WOULD APOLOGISE FOR MY RAMBLINGS BUT I’M SURE IT’S GIVING YOU A LITTLE CHUCKLE TOO.

IT IS A STRANGE WORLD BUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE IT SO MUCH BETTER. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE AND ONE DAY PEACE WILL BE ACHIEVED.

THIS EMAIL HAS COME FROM THE HEART, IT LEAVES ME IN TEARS OF HAPPINESS.PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

STEVE

PS AND YOU NEVER DID IT LAST NIGHT BUT BIG HUGS ALL ROUND DUDE

Hey Scary Guy,

I don’t know if you remember, but you came to my school, in Wray Colorado when I was in eighth grade.

I would like to thank you for coming and speaking that year, your words got me thinking about my life.

And I changed it completely and left the group I was hanging out with, and started hanging out with better people.

Thanks,
Xaviar

KATIE’S STORY

My Story
Current mood: inspired
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Today I am a confident, somewhat beautiful young girl. My ambition in life is to help others. That’s it. For three years I have actively helped young people such as yourself to overcome depression, self harm, bullies, and abuse. I have done this via email contacts and through the website allpoetry.com. On this website, I helped people to express their feelings through poetry instead of self harming. But I’ve not always been like this. Three years ago, I was just like you.

Let me take you back to that time. Three years ago I was fifteen years old, and I went to a local high school in Salford, Manchester. I was five foot seven inches tall, had long ginger hair, was spotty, wore glasses and braces and I was one of the most unpopular girls in the school. I was easy prey.

Because of this I was bullied, abused, attacked and manipulated to the point where I dreaded going to school in the morning. It got to the point where I would purposely make myself ill so that I didn’t have to go to school. I drank bleach, made myself throw up and slept in 5 layers of clothing to try to fool my Mum into letting me off school.

Eventually, as a direct result of the bullying and prejudice I was experiencing at school, I began to self harm. I carried a razor blade with me at all times – underneath the battery of my Nokia mobile phone. By November 2005 I was beginning to seriously contemplate suicide.

But then, on one of the days where I chose to actually go into school instead of bunking off to the local park, something amazing happened. A wonderful man called The Scary Guy (and yes, that’s his real name) visited my school. And he told me that I didn’t have to take this shit. It wasn’t mine to take. All the words that these vicious people spoke were a reflection of them, not of me. And it was with this realisation that I stopped hurting myself, stopped letting these people get the better of me, and decided to stand up for those that cannot do it for themselves.

Two weeks ago I was on Scary’s website (http://www.thescaryguy.com) and I decided to drop him an email and let him know of the impact he has had on my life. He phoned me up, and asked if I would like to spend a couple of days with him. I of course, agreed. The following blogs are a narration of what happened in those two days.

Today, in 2009, I am here to help you. I don’t know you, where you live or how you feel. I do not even know your name. But I am here for you, whenever you need me. And I will help you. My email is thescarygirl@googlemail.com in recognition to the man that saved my life. Whenever you have a problem, or even just a question about me and my life, just drop me an email. I will always reply.

You look radiant today.
Love you all.

A WAKE UP CALL FOR KATIE

Dear Scary,

My name is Katie.

Three years ago you visited my old high school, in Salford, England.

Before the assembly with you, I had been planning to take my own life because of the excessive bullying I was experiencing. I had a razor blade concealed behind my cell phone battery.

But you made me realise it wasn’t my fault I was being bullied – it was just prejudice because the bullies didn’t understand me.

You have inspired me to change other’s lives the way you have changed mine, and I plan on becoming an educational psychologist to do this.

Thank you so much for changing everything.

WORDS FROM DAVID

Dear Scary Guy,

I just want to say that I think you, Scary Guy, are truly inspirational. I recently heard you speaking on the Pete Price Show in Liverpool and have just checked out your web site. I think it is great what you’re doing, and I just know that the world will listen to you – the more noise you make the better. I agree, the key to peace and diminishing violence is love. I also know that what you do will inspire others to stand up and make changes too, if only to their own journey.

I am a religious person, and if it means anything to you, I will pray to Our Lord that your journey be long, joyful and prosperous.

You’re amongst those few human beings that are truly, truly, the best human example!

Good Luck Scary Guy!
