A WAKE UP CALL FOR KATIE

Dear Scary,

My name is Katie.

Three years ago you visited my old high school, in Salford, England.

Before the assembly with you, I had been planning to take my own life because of the excessive bullying I was experiencing. I had a razor blade concealed behind my cell phone battery.

But you made me realise it wasn’t my fault I was being bullied – it was just prejudice because the bullies didn’t understand me.

You have inspired me to change other’s lives the way you have changed mine, and I plan on becoming an educational psychologist to do this.
